WorldRugbyShop.com provides more than quality gear and news to the world’s rugby community at large. It is wholly committed to providing a superior level of service to its customers, and that dedication stems from a passion for the game that traces deeply back to the roots of the company.

When founder Bernard Frei, a lifelong rugby player, moved to the United States from Brixton, England (via Paris and Sydney), he brought with him his unending passion for the game. After meeting his wife, Frei moved down south to Birmingham, Alabama where he launched WorldRugbyShop.com – which started from scratch with the help of HTML For Dummies.

Opening just in time for the 1999 Rugby World Cup, WorldRugbyShop.com was launched from the confines of Frei’s basement with only five products. But now, several years down the road, WorldRugbyShop.com has grown to be recognized as the leading retailer of Rugby gear and officially licensed merchandise for professional and amateur players, fans, and families around the world.

The company also has several high profile partners with rugby including the 2007 Rugby World Cup, USA Rugby, South Africa Rugby Union and the New Zealand Rugby Union.

Still operating out of Birmingham, WorldRugbyShop.com is a team of people passionate about rugby. With employees involved in the game’s local youth scene and several still playing, it's a staff that’s dedicated both to the sport and making your interaction with the company a pleasure. As the story of the shop’s modest beginning would suggest, it’s a true labor of love for World Rugby Shop, and it strives to make sure its long-term commitment to quality reflects that.
